This is, I suppose, as good a place as any for an introduction, and certainly better than most. My name is Dave Weinstein, and I am or have been, in no particular order, a game developer and designer, security developer, engineering manager, sometime songwriter and musician, indifferent potter, mediocre Rugby and Soccer player, and a fan of various genres of film, fiction, and music. I’ve been a freelance writer (albeit for very little money),  and run a breed rescue group.

I’m currently living on an island in Puget Sound with my wife Kathy, and a quartet of longhaired Dachshunds.

The picture at the top of the blog is the building in Manhattan where my Grandfather first lived when he came to America, over 100 years ago.
