{"id":180,"date":"2014-05-08T19:26:59","date_gmt":"2014-05-09T02:26:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/belegaer.com\/blog\/?p=180"},"modified":"2014-05-08T19:44:55","modified_gmt":"2014-05-09T02:44:55","slug":"almond-flour-tortillas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/belegaer.com\/blog\/?p=180","title":{"rendered":"Almond Flour Flatbreads"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Please note, this recipe is based heavily on this <a href=\"http:\/\/mariamindbodyhealth.com\/toasted-sub-sandwich-and-panini\/\" target=\"_blank\">bread recipe<\/a> from Maria Emmerich.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 60px;\">175g Almond Flour<br \/>\n2 tsp Baking Powder<br \/>\n1 tsp Sea Salt<br \/>\n2 TBS Powdered Psyllium Husk<br \/>\n3 TBS Powdered Egg Whites<br \/>\n2 TBS Olive Oil<br \/>\n6 TBS Water<br \/>\n1 cup Boiling Water<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Heat a griddle to 400 degrees. This is easiest to accomplish with a non-stick electric griddle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Cut a heavy duty quart plastic bag such that it has three of the four sides open (making it effectively a hinged pair of plastic sheets).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Combine the dry ingredients, and mix well. Add the olive oil and the non-boiling water, and mix well. Add the boiling water, and mix well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Form a ball of dough roughly the size of a golf ball. Put it between the plastic sheets you made earlier, and use a tortilla press to flatten it. Cook the flatbread\u00a0on the griddle until it is lightly browned on each side.
